Ipod Video Software Upgrades

how do you upgrade your version of ipod software. I have an IPOD video with 1.0 software but need 1.2?

use the ‘check for updates’ function in iTunes while your iPod is connected. (iTunes doesn’t always do it automatically, even if you have it set up to do so).
